This
is our Junior Band,
aimed at young people aged between 7 and 18 years. |

of our rehearsals
on a Thursday evening between 6:30pm and 7:30pm |

The
band takes part in all special youth services and
provides worship music for Sunday morning services every other
week. |
Our purpose
is to help the
youngsters learn to play musical instruments and to use their
talents and music-making
to praise Jesus Christ. |
The band has eight
youth members, with two learners, who are helped by three older
teenagers and two adults.
They are under the instruction of Band Leader Philip Hawkins
and his
deputy Andrew Thomas. |
The special
events in 2003 that were supported by the band included leading
the morning service at the Abersychan Salvation Army and, the highlight
of the year, playing at the regional Salvation Army annual service
in front of 700 people. |
Coming soon, the band will
be holding
a Friday evening programme for a local Senior Citizens club. |
