Street Pastors

Risca Street Pastors commenced its work in November 2011 supported by the members of local churches of Risca including Risca Salvation Army.
Street Pastors is an inter-denominational Church response to the night-time economy, engaging with people on the streets to care, listen and dialogue.
The presence of Street Pastors on the streets demonstrates that the Church is there for them in a practical way. The role is not about preaching, but one of listening, caring and helping – working in an unconditional way. A listening ear, a drink of water, flip-flops when the high-heels become unsafe, company whilst waiting for a lift home are some of the practical ways in which help is given.
You will see Risca Street Pastors every Saturday evening from 10.00pm to 1.00am.
